Who We Are

Food is Medicine (FIM) is a growing movement focused on integrating nutritious food into the treatment of chronic disease.

Power Metrics

The 12 metrics pictured in the image below are Power Metrics. They are the foremost triggers of chronic disease. Together, these Power Metrics account for approximately 85% of healthcare costs.

Right now, in your body, each of these metrics registers as either:

PlateRX is a ‘Medically Tailored Meal’ tracking app designed to manage, prevent, and reverse Chronic Disease.

At-Risk and High-Risk metrics trigger chronic disease.

Nutritional Labels

For ex, to improve blood pressure, you would track sodium... Or to lower cholesterol, you would focus on saturated fat, dietary fiber, and cholesterol.

42% of Americans have 2+ chronic diseases. PlateRX empowers users by providing them with a simple tool to combat all of their chronic diseases in one fell swoop.

Many food tracking apps focus on calorie counting. But the reality is that all of the 12 Power Metrics can be improved by tracking at least one of the nutrients printed on food labels.

How PlateRX Works

In this example, the user needs to improve blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol.

PlateRX Case Study

(1) Subject - 69 Year Old Male

(2) Multiple Chronic Diseases - Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease + Type 2 Diabetes

(5) Objective - Stabilize kidney function at 44 mg/dl to stop downward trajectory toward dialysis, without spiking blood glucose, as certain high-glycemic foods that are effective for kidney function improvement can unintentionally trigger glucose spikes.

(3) Normal Kidney Function - 60 mg/dl

(4) Subject's Kidney Function - 44 mg/dl

(6) Action Plan - PlateRX emphasized sodium reduction from >2400 mg/day to FDA recommended 1500 mg/day, while also guarding against increased sugar intake.

(7) Initial Blood work - September 3rd, 2024

(8) Followup Blood work - December 20th, 2024

(9) Result - Kidney Function improved from 44 to 51, without any negative impacts on blood glucose. Excellent results, especially considering the subjects advanced age.

(10) PlateRX drives success - Subject did not utilize any prescription meds for kidney function improvement. Improvement was 100% based on PlateRX.

With PlateRX I've learned how to use food to manage my anemia & high blood pressure. Highly recommend it!
